The Park Güell is a reflection of the fullness of artistic Gaudi: belongs to his stage naturalist (first decade of the twentieth century), the period in which the architect honed his personal style, through the inspiration in the organic forms of nature, for what you put into practice a whole series of new structural solutions originating in his deep analysis of the geomettria regulated. To this adds the Catalan artist a great creative freedom and an imaginative creation ornamental.
Its uniqueness was recognized in 1969, when it was declared a historic-artistic monument of national interest and, above all, in 1984, to be declared Patrimony of the Humanity by UNESCO.
The peculiar style of Gaudí is evident in any item, however small it may be. The right angles do not appear for any place: columns are inclined as palm trees and have forms variable, which suggest trunks of trees, stalactites and natural caves, and undulating forms, similar to the lava rivers.
Many of the surfaces are covered with trencadís, pieces of ceramics or glass to tile mode of colors.
Although the nature seems to be at a second level, what is certain is that the architect had very much into account in order to achieve a perfect symbiosis between the stone and the green.
